The aim of the Level 5 Diploma in Law is to further develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of key legal principles while enhancing their professional, analytical, and research skills. This qualification builds upon Level 4 knowledge and prepares learners for more advanced academic study and professional pathways within the legal sector.
It is designed to equip learners with a broad and practical understanding of law, supporting career progression and contributing towards preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

Entry Criteria

- Mature learners (21+) with relevant experience (subject to centre approval)
- Learners whose first language is not English must demonstrate appropriate English language proficiency
Equivalency
The qualification is equivalent to:
- Foundation Degree
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Year 2 of a UK Bachelor’s Degree
